Anonymizer Error Codes 768 / 1100

Issue

My Username and Password isn’t working.

Error Message

  • The username and/or password for this account are invalid. Please note that passwords are case-sensitive.
  • Access denied because the username, password, or both is invalid on the domain.
  • (L2TP) Access denied because the username, password, or both is invalid. Please note that passwords are case-sensitive.
  • (L2TP) The specified port was disconnected by the remote computer. This may indicate that your username and/or password is invalid.
  • (OpenVPN) Access denied because the username, password, or both are invalid. Please note that passwords are case-sensitive.

Resolution

This error is caused if you mistype your username and password, if you have recently changed your Anonymizer Universal password, if your Anonymizer Universal account has not yet been activated, or if your account has expired.

To resolve this issue, please follow the steps below:

If you are using Anonymizer Universal version 1.3 or earlier:

  1. Please log into your Anonymizer account and ensure that Anonymizer Universal is listed as Active.
  2. Open the Anonymizer Universal interface by clicking on the icon next to the clock.
  3. Click on “Change Account”
  4. Enter your current “Username” and “Password” in their corresponding fields. Be sure to check the “Save Information” box and click “OK”.
  5. If you are using Anonymizer Universal version 2.0 or later:
  6. Please log into your Anonymizer account and ensure that Anonymizer Universal is listed as Active.
  7. Open the Anonymizer Universal Interface by clicking on the icon next to the clock.
  8. Click on the “Change” button next to the error message; or click the gear icon in the upper right corner, then “Log Out”.
  9. Enter your current “Username” and “Password” in their corresponding fields, then click the right arrow button.
    Please carefully type your password. Copy/paste is not recommended, as it is easy to add leading or trailing spaces. This changes the password, as spaces are considered characters.
    Please Note: Passwords are case sensitive.
