Important Note: Anonymizer Universal is only compatible with the Surface Pro., Surface Pro 2, and Surface Pro 3. It is not currently compatible with the Surface RT.
Step 1
Locate the Windows Client within your account home and click it to begin the download process.
Step 2
Once the download has finished, you will need to run the installation utility.
- NOTE: Prior to beginning the installation process, insure that you are current with your Windows updates.
- To avoid complications in setup, it is advised that security software is disabled during the installation process.
Step 3
Once the download has finished, you will need to run the installation utility. Launch the Desktop by clicking on the Desktop Icon.
Step 4
Open Explorer and navigate to your Downloads folder and double tap the Anonymizer application installation file.
Step 5
You will then be promoted to allow the application to install, Click Yes.
Step 6
The Anonymizer Universal installation manager will display, to proceed with the installation click Continue.
Step 7
Review the Anonymizer Universal “End-User License Agreement.” To agree to the terms check the box “I accept the agreement” and click Continue.
Step 8
Proceed with the default “Complete Install” and select Continue.
Step 9
Click Continue again to begin the installation.
Step 10
The installation process for Anonymizer Universal will now begin. This may take up to a few minutes depending on your individual machine.
Step 11
Upon completion of the installation select “Run Anonymizer Universal now” click Done.
Step 12
Anonymizer Universal will launch, creating a little orange box with an “A” in your Windows notification area. The Anonymizer Universal program box will display in the lower right hand corner of your screen.
Step 13
Enter your login credentials into the Username and password fields, within the client window. Once inputted sign in by clicking the green login [ > ] button.
Step 14
The Anonymizer Universal connection status message will present in the top right corner of your screen.
Step 15
Once the client has successfully connected, your status will display as “Protected, Private & Secure.” Your Anonymous IP Address will display and all of your browsing activity will be associated with this public IP.
