Norton Internet Security 2014

Outlined below is the process to configure Norton Internet Security 2014 to exclude Anonymizer from its scans and add it to the Smart Firewall.

(* The program should be allowed in the Smart Firewall by default)

Step 1

Click Settings in the main program window.

Step 2

Under Computer in the “Antivirus and SONAR Exclusions” section click “Configure” next to “Items to Exclude from Scans.”

Step 3

The scan exclusions window will appear. Click Add, and then Folders.

Step 4

Click the folder button in the add item window and then navigate to the location where Anonymizer Universal is installed on your computer and click Ok once you have selected it. It should normally be under “C:Program FilesAnonymizer”. Click Ok to add it to the scan exclusions and Ok again to close the exclusions window.

Step 5

Next, click “Configure” next to “Items to Exclude from Auto-Protect, SONAR, and Download Intelligence Detection.”

Step 6

Once the real time exclusions window appears, repeat steps 3 and 4. The windows that appear will look similar to the ones from the previous steps with the only difference being the name.
