Manual Firewall Configuration
To manually configure your firewall configuration in Zone Alarm, access the main page for your Zone Alarm Security Suite. Choose the “Program Control” section on the left navigation and make sure that each Anonymizer entry appears as follows:
- Anonymous Surfing (AnonProxy.exe)
- Anonymizer (Anonymizer.exe)
- AnonMgmtSvc.exe
In the boxes next to these entries, you should see three Green Bars under the “Trust” header, “Custom” in the “Smart Defense” section and Green checkmarks for each under the “Access,” “Server.” The “Send Mail” section can have any settings you choose as Anonymous Surfing does not secure email clients such as Outlook or Thunderbird. To change any of these settings, click on the entry and select “Allow.”
