Mac Firewall Configurations
To configure your Mac firewall to allow Anonymizer Universal traffic, please follow these steps:
To begin, click on the Apple icon in the top left side corner and select “System Preferences.”
Choose “Security” under “Personal” settings.
You will see a window like the one below. Select “Firewall” and click on “Advanced.”
If the “Advanced…” button does not respond. Click the lock at the lower left to unlock this access
Select the “+” underneath the white box.
You may need to uncheck “Block all incoming connections” to do this.
Select “Applications” from the column on the left. Find “Anonymizer Universal” in the center column and select it. Click on “Add.” Click “OK,” then close the “Security and Applications” windows.
Please Note:
If you are using a third-party firewall, please open ports 500, 4500, 1701, and 1702. Examples of firewall configurations can be found here.
If you are using a router, VPN pass through must be enabled and the ports given above allowed. Examples of router configurations can be found here.
